| Baphomet Pendants
In 1307, French and English members of the Order of Knights Templar were tried on charges of worshipping Satan in the form of a goat; worshipping an idol and wearing girdles which had touched the idol's head; renouncing christ & stamping on or urinating on crucifixes. On admission to the Order, the candidate exchanged kisses on the navel, anus and base of the spine or phallus and "sundry acts of heresy" often ensued (Gosh, those Knights Templar knew how to do it!) Large numbers of Templars confessed to the charges, including the Grand Master of the Order of Preceptor of Normandy who was burned alive in 1314. Since that time, the juxtapostion of Baphomet on the Earthward Pentagram is a time-honored symbol of power and intimate devotion to Satan. In wearing this talisman, the bearer invokes the power of the dark side and pays homage to the Master. |
